Main Story:

 Local lunching

Albert Brown and his wife Leonie Williams-Brown opened this location just over a year ago, and business has been booming.

They have always believed that you can serve a quality meal without having to empty customers’ wallets, and this has been proven with their incredibly popular lunch starting at only $3.

That’s right – lunch for only $3. There are daily specials that include such familiar dishes as oxtail, curry goat, cow head and beans, cow skin and beans, jerk chicken and jerk pork. Okay, some of those might not be as familiar to some of us, but in the Caribbean they are well known soul food.

Sides include rice and beans, yam, sweet potato and vegetables. You can also get your sodas, water and juices here to wash it all down.

You probably think that at a price like that it’s strictly take-out, but at Taster’s Choice that’s not the case. You can buy your lunch and then sit down in their air-conditioned dining room to watch television for a while before you have to head back to work.

Albert and Leonie pride themselves on their local specialties and once you’ve gone there you’ll see why Taster’s Choice is the choice for lunch for so many.

Located in Whitford Place on Dorcy Drive in Industrial Park, Taster’s Choice is open Monday to Saturday.
