Living the high life with Cayman nightlife
The word “Nectar” has a few different definitions: A sweet liquid secreted by flowers of various plants; the drink of the gods; a delicious or invigorating drink. Nectar Club in Seven Mile Shops serves all of these and more.
Every other Tuesday you’ll be dazzled by a belly dancing show, known as “The Art of Belly Dancing with Soraya.” Get there for 8pm for Happy Hour, and then sit back and watch the free show at 8.30pm. This is a great night out for a group of ladies who are maybe looking to get some fun pointers, and at the end of the show they are usually encouraged to get up and try themselves.
On Wednesdays it’s time for a Latin Party with house DJ TLT spinning the tunes. Get on your dancing shoes and work off the calories without even realising you’re doing it. Once you’ve made your way through a few songs and the temperature’s rising, you’ll realise that Wednesdays at Nectar can be your gym workout and social scene!
Thursday is S.I.N. (Service Industry Night) with beats by DJ YoYo. Move into the groove with House music, rare and funky beats, and some Latin electro on the deck and don’t forget the daily Happy Hour prices from an unbelievable 8pm to 10pm! Only at Nectar are the drinks of the gods on special for over three hours!
TGIF when it comes to Movida Friday! Start off your weekend in the right way by heading to Nectar and enjoying Happy Hour specials. The famous DJ Flex and DJ YoYo will have you up out of your chair with Latin, House, Top 40…it’s all coming your way via a top sound system and a vibe that will brush the office cobwebs away.
Carry on through the weekend with Tropical Saturday and DJ Juice, and Bikini Sunday with surprise shots on the house. You don’t have to wear a bikini but the servers will certainly be wearing theirs. After all, we DO live in the Caribbean, don’t we?
Beyond great drinks, great drink specials, fabulous music and a rockin’ atmosphere, Nectar also has tapas available all night like shrimp cocktail, prosciutto ham and Italian cheese platters, and marinated conch. When you’re partying like you do here, you can build up a bit of an appetite. These tapas will keep the tummy grumbling at bay.
Head to Nectar on any of these nights with your friends, or go along to make new friends. Don’t forget that Nectar is considered “a delicious and invigorating drink.” After a night at Nectar you’ll probably have a new lease on life.
