Any monster in his or her first fur knows about the Monster Bash at Treasure Island Resort. What started as a trick-or-treat dream has morphed into the biggest annual adult Halloween party in Grand Cayman.

Costumed residents from all districts head to the Seven Mile strip for lots of fun, lots of dancing, and lots of competitions. If you’re a fan (or fang) of Halloween, this is definitely the bash for you. ‘Cos it’s a Thriller. Yes, we said it.

The Monster Bash 2012 is being held on Saturday, 27 October and is sponsored by Z99 and Tortuga with drink specials starting at 5.00pm. So if you manage to get your ghoul on by that time, you can get there early and find yourself a prime spot for the festivities.

As it all heads towards the witching hour, more and more Halloween revellers will arrive until the place is absolutely heaving. Expect between 1500 to 2000 monsters to descend upon Treasure Island because they won’t be able to resist the siren song of DJ XS on the music until late.

The entire event is hosted by Jason Howard of Z99, who will be keeping everyone abreast of the proceedings and competitions throughout the evening. There will be prize packs for competition winners with gifts from TI and Tortuga, including products like Jagermeister, Flor de Cana, Stolichnaya and Peroni. There will be best male and female costume categories, along with best group, so come dressed to impress. Maybe you’ll arrive as the entire cast of the Harry Potter books, or maybe you prefer to go solo as a member of the Underworld clan. You’ve got about three weeks to put a plan together to ensure that you stand out in the crowd.

The party begins to heat up by about 9pm and will be going into the wee hours. The scariest thing you could possibly do is drink and drive, so why not take advantage of a special room rate that Treasure Island is offering for that night?

For less than $100 you can party without a care, knowing that your abode is scant feet away. Monster Energy Drink will make sure you keep you keep your feet, hooves, paws and claws on the dance floor all night long. Did we mention there’s no entrance fee?

Updating the famous song…
“Let’s do the Bash, Let’s do the Monster Bash,
The Monster Bash, A Treasure Island smash!”
