There is a chemistry to Barefoot Music, and after 23 albums George (Barefoot Man) Nowak plans on sharing his trade secret on One Way Ticket to the Beach.

Actually, for a true Barefoot Man fan the components are not that hard to figure out. There’s always a good dose of humour as in Make No Highway by Me, there are tropical rhythms as in Beaver Island, and of course, Barefoot’s most famous feature – a load of double entendres. Talking to my Beer and The Facebook Song brings out the tomfoolery side of The Barefoot Man. As always, he pushes the envelope with his particular brand of risqué wit in BS and How Can I kiss the Lips.

“I won’t apologise for the ‘what did he just say’ effect that some of my songs have on people; in fact that’s exactly what I’m trying to do – grab your attention,” says Barefoot.

“If someone thinks I’m being too uncouth I will gladly refund their money and they can go buy a gospel album,” he says with the characteristic twinkle in his eye.

The majority of the songs were penned by Barefoot with the exception of a few covers such as Shel Silberstein’s The Mermaid.

Barefoot Man’s music has evolved in the last three decades from vinyl records to 8-tracks to cassettes to CDs and his music can now be found on iTunes as well as his popular web site. The latest enhancement will be the CD drop-card. Order your new CD at barefootman.com via credit card and Barefoot will personally send you a one-time user download number via e-mail, with that you go to a designated URL and download the new CD.

“My wife and band members always say that I have the weirdest fans, so the drop card is an exciting new tool for those who are in a state of periodic or chronic Barefoot intoxication - those abroad that need a Barefoot-fix fast,” he laughs.

With the CD drop-card we can now send the new release in a matter of minutes rather than days. The drop-cards or the CD’s are also available during Barefoot Man performances at the Reef Resort every Tuesday and Thursday night.  WH
