Cayman’s powdery white beaches might offer the perfect location for a storybook wedding, but feeling the sand between your toes in closed toe shoes while your heels sink into the sand inch by painful inch does not form part of that idyllic picture.

Any beach wedding needs to make some concessions to practicality, though that does not need to mean being any less fashionably attired.

Flat sandals might not seem like the height of fashion at first, but according to Savina Taylor, the Havaianas Weddings range is the perfect solution. The wide range of sandals offered by Havaianas can be customised with Swarovski Elements crystals for a unique, sparkly look that strikes the perfect balance between laid back beach casual and fashion. All white sandals serve as the most popular starting point, although Savina says they have had wedding parties opting for sand coloured sandals or other options depending on the colour scheme of the wedding.

Of course, the bridesmaids also need to feel and look good, and according to Savina a number of wedding parties have even decided to give Havaianas as their wedding favours, as many visitors from elsewhere come ill-prepared for a beach wedding, and a comfortable pair of colour coordinated sandals can make the perfect keepsake of that once-in-a-lifetime tropical beach wedding.   WH
