Blackberry Playbook – RIM (Research in Motion)
Who says Apple and Google should have all the fun providing us Star Trek like devices? Not I – and neither does Blackberry maker Research in Motion. They will be jumping on the tablet bandwagon in 2011 with a device powered by the RIM-owned operating system QNX. There are big promises with this device such as Flash and DIVX video compatibility, 1 GB Ram and Dual HD 3/5 MP Cameras. It’s only going to be 7 inches compared to the iPad’s 9.7 but pixel density is higher for sharper resolution.

Of course, the number of apps available for the Blackberry has historically been lacklustre compared to the iPhone, but perhaps this is a whole different arena. Only time
will tell.

Alienware M11X
For those occasions when you need an ultra portable laptop and also need to get in your World of Warcraft fix – here is your answer! The gods of gaming computer manufacturers, Alienware, have graced us with a hybrid gaming laptop offering plenty of headshot fun, while also providing the ultra-light weight usually only found in low processing power machines.

Specs include an Intel Core 2 Duo SU 7300 with optional i7 and i5 upgrade, 4GB DDR3 Ram, 250GB 7200 HDD and the icing on the cake – 1GB nVidia GeForce GT 335M. The display is only 11.6 inches but has DP/HDMI out if you ever need to hook up a bigger monitor. Did I mention it only weighs 4.39 lbs and looks really cool?

Cinemin Swivel – Wow Wee
We have all been there – you’re sitting at a party with friends and suddenly have an overwhelming urge to display pictures and videos from our phone onto the wall. Okay, perhaps not, but now you can.

Wow Wee has created a DLP projector not much bigger than an iPhone, although it is a tad thick. It displays in 480x320 HVGA resolution and can swivel, as the name implies, for those hard to reach walls. Just try not to accidentally display those embarrassing pictures from the bar the other night.
