There are many choices of hangouts on Cayman, all of which promise a different experience.
But there’s nowhere quite like the Nectar Martini and Sushi Lounge.
Not only is this bijou venue nestled on one of the prime spots in the Seven Mile Shops complex, without doubt it is the place to be for DJs, with Fridays and Saturdays key nights in getting the punters jumping. Look out, too, for special events during the week – the bar and restaurant is popular as a birthday treat as much as it is to celebrate special events (such as the arrival of another sweet, sweet weekend).
Nectar is also popular with private parties of up to 125 people keen to get into the soft-lit ambience, talking in a relatively laid-back atmosphere in a chilled but friendly vibe.
As the full name suggests, Nectar has the biggest martini list on Cayman although some plump for the impressive selection of wines, which are available by the glass.
The popular sushi bar has now been joined by a tapas selection, bringing together the ultra-chic Japanese delicacy with the vibrant flavours of Spain.
On cosmopolitan Grand Cayman, that’s entirely appropriate – there are cool guys and gals everywhere who know it’s not where you’re from that counts, but where you congregate.
