Sports Calendar

With great weather year round, Cayman is a great venue for the sporting enthusiast. Although some sports like cycling, running and open water swimming are not limited to dedicated facilities, there are more than enough choices available for other sports as well. This month we take a look at a couple of the more popular sports – golf, squash and tennis.

Golf
Blue Tip
at
The Ritz-Carlton Grand Cayman
Designed by Gregg Norman, this 9-hole course is exclusive to Ritz-Carlton guests and Residences owners, making a stay at The Ritz-Carlton even more attractive for the avid golfer.
With eight holes on the water, and a couple of long holes played into the prevailing wind, the course can challenge even the most experienced player, while the perfect location makes it a joy for golfers of all ability levels.
For tee times and more information, please call 815-6500.

Britannia Golf Club
Designed by Jack Nicklaus, the Britannia Golf Club course is a challenging par 35 nine hole course. However, it can also be played as a par 57 18 hole executive course. This ‘course within a course’ is one of the unique aspects of what Nicklaus has described as “the most versatile course I’ve ever designed.”
Right on the North Sound, the rolling course provides not only plenty of challenge, but a beautiful day out for golfers and non-golfing partners alike.
To make reservations, please call 745-4653 or

North Sound Club
As the only 18 hole championship golf course in the Cayman Islands, the North Sound Club is a must for any golfing visitor.
The par 71 course has hosted regional golfing events in the past, and the native plant life that adorns the course makes it home to many local species of birds.
The open air clubhouse is also a favourite among golfers, both visiting and local.
