Mention the word jet and inevitably is conjures up images of modern travel, with all its amenities and luxuries. We may associate it with moving quickly or with something sleek and fanciful.
Put these things together with the benefit of keeping your feet on the ground and you’re probably at the new Jet night club on the West Bay Road.
The club just succeeded the Next Level as one of the strip’s more popular venues and is up to the task by all accounts.
“It’s definitely got a radically new flavour and the energy feels foreign but familiar,” says Jet owner Mike Chambers.
“Like clubs you may have been to overseas, there’s that element of new world appeal, meshed with progressive overtones. We’ve got Jet express cards for VIP, flair bartenders and lots of other little perks that make it quite an entertaining night out.”
The club is unique in its layout and features an exclusive VIP area for ultra special customers.
The club also features several large screen televisions that display the videos of songs being played by the DJ.
This adds another dimension of interaction, says Mike who explains that even if you came to the club on your own, you would quickly forget that once you were inside because there is so much going on that will grab your attention or stimulate your imagination.
Of course, for many, security is a factor on a night out.
According to Ethan Manderson, head of security for Jet, the issue was one the club’s management were obsessed with.
“Not only do we want to ensure a good time but we want to ensure a safe time as well.”
The 6-footer, who looked like he could easily have been playing linebacker in the NFL seems confident that he and his team would be able to handle any situation.
With heightened surveillance and monitoring, the team plans to micromanage the club’s security, as to always reinforce a feeling of comfort in the minds of patrons.
Jet night club is open six nights per week, offering a variety of music for revellers of all tastes.
According to Nicky Benza, the bar manager, jet has certainly taken off. “It usually gets jumping in here. We find that our demographic has expanded and everyone from all walks of life are drawn to the aura of the new design and decor.”
