La Belle makes itself over

La Belle International celebrated its recent birthday by giving itself what it has been giving Cayman for the last 10 years: a makeover.

Renovating the spa meant an overhaul of the interior design, which now sports a Zen-inspired bamboo and natural Asian theme. This theme also carries over into owner Angie Pervis’ renovation of the salon’s service menu.

Art and science
Taking a look at the menu of treatments, Angie decided to focus on treating the environmental impact of modern living, remaining consistent with the salon décor’s new back-to-nature theme.

“Cosmetology in the country has reached an advanced stage of making people aware of the importance of hairdressing art and science combined,” she says. “I am aware that in a day our hair is subject to various harsh elements: modern day stress, air and water pollution and chemical damages to name a few. These can alter the healthy condition of the hair and scalp.”

Natural treatments
Angie set about creating a number of services that would “revolutionise salon services in this country.” She uses indigenous plants, fresh milk and organic medicinal ingredients to treat problem hair.

“We must nurture hair,” she says. “We colour and perm it with harmless milk and make it shine with organic plants.”

Dubbing these treatments ‘hair detox’ and ‘hair spa’, clients can expect to leave the salon with refreshed, shiny locks. Other treatments that Angie added to the menu to help contribute to a healthier head of hair include hair rebounding, a hair booster, milk colouring and hair extensions. The additions didn’t just stop at hair, either: the salon added the Hollywood style of professional make-up application with airbrush make-up.

Festive specials
In advance of the Christmas holidays, Angie is offering a number of specials to encourage clients to try out La Belle’s newest services.

“We are giving 20 per cent off all services because it is the holiday season,” Angie says. And when she says all services, she means all. “Appointments can be booked for manicures, pedicures, gel nails, acrylics, hair and make-up, colour, highlights, relaxing treatments and eyelash extensions.”

The spa also offers 20 per cent off all services booked on a Tuesday year-round, a commitment Angie says the salon makes in order to achieve its mission: “We are a service-oriented salon that strives hard to deliver customer satisfaction consistently.”   WH
