Fever grass
As the name indicates, fever grass tea is believed to help reduce fevers. The plant is sometimes also known as lemon grass.

Cerasee
Cerasee tea has a bitter taste but is thought to purge the blood and help control sugar levels in diabetics. It grows like a creeper and can often be found wrapped around wire fences. It is also believed to be good for bellyache.

Ginger
Commonly used to alleviate nausea and morning sickness, as well as to aid digestion, ginger tea is actually made from the root of the plant. The root should be placed in boiling water for around 10 minutes to draw.

Leaf of life
Leaf of life tea is traditionally used to treat colds and clean the intestines.

Soursop leaf
Soursop leaf is believed to be good for nerves and to help people to relax in times of stress.

Lime leaf
Although there are no specific medicinal qualities attached to this tea, it is a delicious and refreshing drink, especially first thing in the morning.

Mint
The two most common forms of mint found in Cayman are peppermint and black mint. They are both believed to be good for headaches and as an aid to digestion. Mint can be mixed with ginger to make a nice tea.
