lush lagoon-side location in West Bay for 25 years. In 1974 Cayman National Bank and Trust Company Limited opened for
business as a financial institution owned by Caymanians for Caymanians
under the direction of Peter Tomkins and a group of prominent business
people. Recognising the need for more affordable and trustworthy cars on
island, Hyundai dealer Prestige Motors opened its doors in April 1984. “It
was an unknown entity at the time, nobody had really heard of Hyundai,”
said Managing Director Danny O’Hara. “But the prices were competitive
and that’s what landed it into the global forefront.” “We have grown and evolved with the community,” says World Gym Manager
Tertius Broderick. “As fitness became more mainstream and people began
to see the health benefits we grew with the demand.” When Mr. Law left Cayman, the Lambert family moved to oversee his
business and run the house, using the stylish home as a venue for
elegant dinners and parties. When they departed Cayman for Jamaica in
1925, they put the house in the care of long-time housekeeper Olive
Hinds. British Caymanian Insurance, known to many as BritCay, celebrates its quarter century this year.The company offers business and personal insurance and financial planning to employers and private clients.
