We are always striving to give the best value for your membership dollar. When you talk we listen. We took the following steps last year to improve our service:
- Employed a full time receptionist for the Visitors Centre
- Developed and produced new membership brochure
- Researched into new member benefits including a multi-employer Health Insurance Plan
- Increased promotion of member events and news in This Week at the Chamber
- Continued to sign-up new participants for Discount Card programme
- Development of new Chamber Mobile Application to be released early 2012
- Continue to offer conference space for members at lowest available rate
- Released Training Survey to monitor members’ training needs
- Increased Professional Development & Training Centre offerings
- Officially launched the new Chamber Champion Investment Programme
- Maintained contact with membership opinion through a number of surveys
- Kept membership current with important news updates and public announcements
A new Health Insurance Plan for members is under development. A Request For Proposal was sent out to health insurance companies back in July in response to a Benefits Survey that was released in February to better understand the needs of our membership in regards to discount and affinity programmes.
A Health Insurance Review Committee is reviewing the responses to develop the best possible package for Chamber members.
The Chamber Visitors Centre
The Chamber’s Visitors Centre has seen a steady increase in foot traffic from tourists and residents of the Islands. Having a full-time receptionist has given us greater opportunity to interact with visitors and spend more time promoting our members’ businesses using the brochures and flyers on display in the lobby.
The Chamber Conference Room
When considering the move to Governors Square, it was always our intention to make a first-class conference facility available to our membership at a minimal cost. This has proved to be an excellent investment and the conference room is almost constantly booked for product launches, seminars, meetings and training.
We are proud to offer the lowest rental cost by far on this facility, in order that our members will have an affordable and flexible option for their business needs.
