WestStar TV produces and delivers high-quality local news, sports, weather, and cultural programming to every home in the Cayman Islands. Their digital cable service brings the world to Cayman with a wide selection of entertainment, news, information, children’s and sports packages.
WestStar TV recognises the important role businesses play in the community, and supports several non-profit organisations. The company provides free service to the Pines Residences, Sunrise Adult Training Centre, The Lighthouse School, and the Dialysis Unit at Cayman Islands Hospital.
WestStar TV is also a major sponsor of The Young Caymanian Leadership Awards, a gold sponsor in kind of the Cayman Islands 2008 Olympic team, and contributes the fireworks for the display at The Parade of Lights, an evening of family-centric entertainment. Together with CITN,
WestStar TV has raised funds for Department of Children and Family Services, Cancer Society, Cayman Heart Fund, Veteran’s Association, Special Olympics Cayman Islands, and the NCVO.
In 2007, Weststar offered the first scholarship to assist Caymanians wishing to pursue a career in the communications industry.
