Chamber Big Dates

As we prepare for the upcoming Business Expo in October this year we are pleased to see so many of our member businesses maintaining their level of enthusiasm for a ‘good show’. I think we all understand that the world is changing and with it the way we do business, but it is gratifying to see that even through these strained economic times many Cayman businesses are proving resilient and adaptable. We will once again have the strong and sustainable economy that we have all enjoyed for so many years, but how we handle the preceding months before this is very telling of our fortitude as a community.

The Chamber is here for all Cayman businesses and through our mission to support, promote and protect we work hard to be your voice and listen to your needs and concerns. The Business Expo is a way for you to make direct contact with your customers in an environment that promotes the economic interest of the Islands as a whole.

We want to push your business to the front of people’s minds and give you the opportunity to showcase your products and services to over 3,000 potential customers.

There may not be the expendable income that there has been in previous years but what we are buying should come from local businesses that are providing quality and dependable goods and services. The Chamber has always been a champion of buying local, but this is the time for you to shout about your business and let the community know why you are the best at what you do! There has never been a better time to sell your business and company vision to the Cayman public. Yes, these are tough economic times, but that is exactly the time when you need to promote your business and reach out to your customers. Let them know you’re still a viable enterprise and willing to provide the goods and services they need.

The Chamber Business Expo is the largest business showcase in the Cayman Islands, and has been a fixed event for many Cayman businesses, both large and small, since the early 1990s. The event gives local businesses the resources they need to compete in today's challenging economy, as they share their vision, passion and expertise with their Cayman customers.

One of these businesses is LIME and we are pleased to say that they are once again on board as the title sponsor of the Business Expo and are leading the way for others who want to make an impact at this popular event like Home Gas Ltd., The Security Centre Ltd., Stepping Stones, Post Net, Cartridge Smart, Cayman Villas, Cirrus Distributors Ltd., Cayman Screen Print, Deluxe Freight Inc., Island Builders and Paradise Coffee to name but a few. Products and services from over 60 different businesses will be showcased this year, running from Thursday, 21 October, to Saturday, 23 October, at The Family Life Centre. We expect to see many more new ‘green’ items and eco friendly services from exhibitors this year too.

Tony Ritch, general manager of LIME Cayman Islands commented, “The Expo is one event on the calendar that lots of people look forward to and it is one of the most affordable and effective ways for companies to get recognised.  Many small businesses have used the Expo as their platform for launch and gone on to great success.

Experts are predicting that 2010 is to be the year of recovery, businesses need to take advantage of every opportunity to showcase their products and services and the Expo provides the perfect opportunity”.

The Chamber is accepting booth registrations now and locations will be given on a first come first served basis. Spaces start at $900 for a small booth and increase with size and prominence. All booths will get high traffic with an average attendance of 3,000 people.

Anyone interested in showcasing their business, products and/or services at the Business Expo should contact:
