McCoy Park Opens in Bodden Town
By: Simon Boxall
29th January, 2008

The ‘Harry’ McCoy Park in Bodden Town was officially opened in the district of Bodden Town last Saturday. The launch of the park was very well attended with the Governor, members of the McCoy family, Bodden Town residents and senior figures from both political parties there to celebrate the opening.

The park was named after the much loved and respected Bodden Town resident, Mr. Harwell McCoy, a career civil servant and Royal Navy veteran, who sadly passed away at George Town Hospital on the same day the park was opened and dedicated in his honour. Mr. McCoy was 88 years old.
