Dms Organization Ltd. and its affiliate companies partnered with nonprofit Cayman Acts of Random Kindness to spread holiday cheer.

With the aim of making sure that all children in the Cayman Islands received gifts this year, DMS organised a dress down day and appealed to employees to make a minimum donation of $2 to raise money.

There was also an in-house raffle draw which included prizes such as a gift certificate donated by Cost-U-Less and a night’s stay at the Westin Grand Cayman Seven Mile Beach Resort and Spa.

DMS matched the amount raised to total more than $2,400. With the money, DMS employees went shopping and bought toys to donate to Cayman ARK’s island-wide effort to benefit Cayman’s youth this holiday season.

“The response to ARK’s Giving is Receiving Project has been phenomenal. We were overwhelmed when DMS delivered a truck load of beautiful toys to us and are so excited about what joy they will bring to many families this Christmas,” said Sharon Galloway of Cayman ARK.

Cayman ARK received donations of children’s toys and household items from organisations and individuals, which they then arranged to distribute to families throughout Grand Cayman.

Organiser Erika van Dam said, “We are grateful to the DMS Gives Back committee for helping to bring this effort together which brings such relief to parents and grandparents who cannot afford to purchase gifts for children. Our motto is ‘Changing lives, One Life at a Time’ and this is another example of this effort at work in our local community.”

Cayman ARK is a nonprofit organisation that seeks to make a difference with small acts of random kindness, while sharing good times with friends who share a kindred spirit and kind heart. One of its many charitable endeavours this year included the toy and household items drive for donations to families in Grand Cayman who are less fortunate.
