Man stabbed, one arrested

Police taped off an entire block of McField Lane Sunday following a stabbing that left a man critically injured. Brent Fuller
A man was rushed into emergency surgery early Sunday morning and was said to be in critical condition following a stabbing incident at McField Square in George Town, authorities said.

Police received a report at about 12.45am that a man had been admitted to the hospital with at least three stab wounds after arriving at Cayman Islands Hospital in Grand Cayman by private car, according to a news release issued by the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service. Officers were dispatched to both the hospital and the scene of the incident, police said.

A male suspect was arrested at the crime scene and remains in custody, authorities said.

No further information was immediately available. The incident remains under investigation.

So big berd, you get to advocate again. As I said before, maybe we should follow your suggestion and we should start by handing out permits for AK47's, rocket launchers and the like.

The solution to violence is not guns. You watch too much TV where people shoot and ask later. Lets start a society based on your philosophy. Last name not Eastwood by any chance?

Caymans society is based on peace and wherever you obtained your attitudes, I hope they go back to where they came from. The presence of Police might be a start. We have 350 on our force protecting 55 thousand people. A model unknown to other parts of the world.

Well, no one is allowed to protect themselves with firearms. So ..yes. Stabbings are quite common.
