Super Bowl Sunday. It’s one of the biggest sporting events of the year and it’s just around the corner. But it’s not just about the match - it’s the parties, the beer, the food and the ads that go along with it that draw so many viewers. Watching the match in the solitude of your own home just doesn’t cut it for the Super Bowl - to get the full experience you need to be among hundreds of your closest friends, with a dizzying array of giant screens, surround sound and buckets of beer at the ready. Weekender wouldn’t want you to miss out, so we’ve put together a list of the best places to join in the party this Sunday.

Hard Rock Cafe

Secure your seats early - Hard Rock opens at 11am.

Sit in comfort and drink $14 Coors Lite buckets and watch any one of the seven plasma TVs or enjoy the action on the huge pull down screens.

The Hot Dog bar is open as well – where you can make your own Hot Dog concoctions all game long.

Treasure Island

The Clubhouse and TI Lobby Bar will be hosting one of the biggest

Super Bowl parties on the Island this Sunday. It all kicks off with a tailgating party at 3pm in the parking lot. Once the match starts, fans will be able to watch the action on two giant screens or any one of over 30 TVs. There will be a prize draw with furniture gift certificates and a 42 inch TV up for grabs as well as loads of smaller prizes. Specials on Miller Lite all night long and a special Super Bowl menu.

Karoo

Why not start your Sunday in style with a Tapas Brunch at 11am? If you stay long enough you can segue

seamlessly into the pre-game happy hour from 3pm until 7pm. Then enjoy 25 per cent o

ff all designer cocktails, exotic and draft beers and house wine while you watch the action unfold on four large screen TVs with surround sound.

Aquabeach

Football, beer and babes - what more could a man want? It’s all happening at Aqua Beach on Sunday with bar staff dressed in Swanky Shack’s unique bikinis,

11 screens to watch the game on, $12 buckets of Caybrew, and Svedka vodka specials. Ladies who show up in bikinis will get free shots.

The Brickhouse/Doghouse/Oarhouse

Enjoy the best of both worlds at Grand Harbour, with the option of watching the match (and the ads, of course) inside or outside. In addition to the 20 TVs indoors, two huge screens will be set up outside and there will be specials on buckets of beer.

PDs

Football specials will be running all day and the game will be projected on to two huge screens and showing on 12 large TVs. Buckets of Bud, Bud Light and Michelob Ultra plus happy hour prices on mixed drinks all the way through.

Fidel Murphy’s

If you want to beat the crowds and get a quieter view of the game over dinner, Fidel’s will be showing the

Super Bowl accompanied by their regular all-you-can-eat carvery for $13.95.

P

ower Supply

Six screens with surround sound will ensure patrons don’t miss out on any of the excitement. Free hors d’oeuvres while they last and buckets of Bud and Bud Light

for $12.50.

Lone Star

Plenty of space on the terrace or in air conditioned comfort to get together with friends, enjoy buckets of Bud or Bud Light for $15 and cheer for your chosen team.
