The Pirates Week committee wants help from businesses around the waterfront to try to stage the best fireworks display ever.

According to Bernie Bush of the committee, there is an opportunity for many more businesses to get involved on a financial basis with the display.

“This night packs out the restaurants and bars along George Town with people who are all wanting to see the fireworks, but although some of the places have come to the plate and offered us financial assistance, not all have come on board,” Mr. Bush said.

“There is a danger that the fireworks display could be moved inland if we cannot get the support we need,” he said.

Cayman’s National Festival Pirates Week 2011 runs from 10-20 November with Little Cayman Pirates Week on 4-5 November and Cayman Brac Heritage Day from 24-27 November.

Are the Seattle Seafair Pirates coming down this year? They are a lot of fun, I look forward to seeing them every year.
