A third man has been arrested in connection with the 11 March shooting death of Marcos Duran.

Royal Cayman Islands Police said a 23-year-old man was arrested Tuesday in West Bay on suspicion of being an accessory after the fact in connection with the killing. He has not been charged.

Mr. Duran, 29, of Ecuador, was shot to death in the stairwell of his apartment complex on Maliwinas Way.

A 16-year-old male was earlier charged with murder in Mr. Duran’s death. Craig Victor Johnson, 29, was also remanded in custody in connection with the killing. According to details of the charge outlined in court in May, Johnson knew that a certain person murdered Mr. Duran and transported that person from the murder scene.
