Breast cancer event gets key sponsor
Chrissie Tomlinson recognised for its support

The Breast Cancer Gala Dinner, at the Ritz-Carlton on Saturday, 16 October, has been receiving tremendous support through event sponsorship and donations, benefitting numerous local charities in need.

Event host, REMAX Cayman Islands, has recognised Chrissie Tomlinson Memorial Hospital for its

 generous support of the 2010 Gala through platinum sponsorship.

“For the second year in a row, Dr. Steve Tomlinson and the staff at Chrissie Tomlinson Memorial Hospital have shown tremendous generosity towards breast cancer awareness and treatment in the Cayman Islands, through our charity event. We are pleased to partner with them once again and thank them for their dedication to the community. ” said James Bovell, co-owner/Broker of REMAX Cayman Islands and director of the Breast Cancer Foundation.

Chrissie Tomlinson Memorial Hospital is the only private hospital in the Cayman Islands, and an advocates of early detection and regular screenings.

The hospital will also continue its support of Breast Cancer initiatives in the Cayman Islands by donating 100 mammogram vouchers to the Cayman Islands Cancer Society this year. Vouchers will be distributed to those who request assistance through the society.

The third annual ‘pink tie’ charity event will include a three-course menu, live entertainment from opera luminary and America’s Got Talent superstar Barbara Padilla, as well as silent and live auctions. All proceeds from the gala dinner will benefit Breast Cancer Initiatives of the Cayman Islands Cancer Society and the Lions Club of Tropical Gardens, through the newly formed Breast Cancer Foundation.
