The Easter long weekend will not be
the same this year, as Cayman hosts the CARIFTA games for only the second time
in the event’s history.
The premier youth athletes from
across the region will descend on Cayman for the competition, which will take
place from 3 to 5 April.
Names like Usain Bolt and Cayman’s
own Kareem Streete-Thompson grace the event’s record books and Cayman Olympians
Cydonie Mothersill and Ronald Forbes both made their mark in the competition.
Spectators can expect to see youth athletes who will in future dominate
athletics on the world stage.
