The Cayman Heart Fund is staging a country and western concert at the Crescent Camana Bay on Saturday, 27 March from 7pm to 11pm. Although the show is free to the public, concert goers will be asked to donate money to the local non-profit organisation, which aims to reduce heart and circulatory disease in Cayman.

According to the event’s public relations co-ordinator, Suzy Soto, the show’s line up is Andy Martin Cayman Cowboy; the Barefoot Man, Gone Country, Chuck and Barrie of Sea ‘n’ B and overseas Elvis impersonator Ron Adams. She said Mr. Adams, also known as the shadow of the king, was a highly sought-after entertainer who performed all over the world. 

“Ron will be on a Cayman vacation break from his hectic USA schedule and while here has agreed to donate his time and talents for the CHF event, as have the other performers,” she said.

Concert goers will be able to grab a bite to eat during the show. For $8 each, attendees will be able to have their fill of the Prime BBQ.

In a set up similar to that of Taste of Cayman, chefs and service staff will dish up buffet-style food including sea salt flank steak, jerk chicken or jerk pork  served with sides.

The concert’s organisers said there will be ample seating but have invited country fans to bring their own blankets so that they can picnic on the lawn, if they wish.

According to the Cayman Heart Fund, heart and circulatory disease is the biggesthealth problem in the Cayman Islands.
