Coldwell Banker sponsors Fast Defence
10 March 2010

The Fast Defence Personal Safety Program, which aims to empower the people of the Cayman Islands to say no to violence and say yes to treating each other with respect and dignity, recently presented Coldwell Banker with an appreciation plaque in recognition of its support.

The programme provides personal safety seminars for the general public as well as anti-bullying seminars for children.

“We would like to thank Coldwell Banker Cayman Islands Realty for their support of our seminars during 2009,” said chief instructor Bob Daigle.

“We especially would like to thank them for sponsoring the cost of a Bulletman suit.”

The equipment is essential for providing realistic training conditions for the programme’s students.

“It has been our pleasure to support Bob in this mission. He has shown tremendous tenacity in launching Fast Defence,” said Coldwell Banker Sales and Marketing Manager Jerry Arnold.

“At the same time Bob is showing the same level of service in the real estate industry as he has with this initiative. This takes a lot of dedication, perseverance, preparation and integrity, the same core values Bob is now delivering with Coldwell Banker.”

Mr. Daigle explained one goal of the programme is to teach non-violent conflict resolution skills to youth.

“When faced with conflict we as a society would rather see young people defuse a situation instead of having a knee jerk reaction of physical violence,” he said.

“It this is instilled in our youth from a young age Cayman’s future will be bright.”

Fast Defence has provided training for schools including Savannah Primary and Prospect Primary, along with corporate seminars for several top companies in Grand Cayman. For more information contact fastdefence@yahoo.com or call Bob Daigle at 925-6946.
