Members of the Cayman Music and Entertainment Association presented the Red Cross with a cheque for $2,000 for Haiti relief efforts. The funds were raised through the “Hope for Haiti” concert held at the Oasis Bar, which featured performances by over 21 bands and ran from 5pm to 3am. President of the Cayman Music and Entertainment Association Jean Eric Smith said, “I was extremely pleased to see such a huge undertaking come together so smoothly and we have the local musicians to thank for their cooperation and good will.”

Mr. Smith, who was recently re-elected as President of the Association, added that he was looking forward to another year of challenges, as well as opportunities for the Association to be more civic minded.
