5 March 2010

The public is invited to the Grand Opening of Arteccentrix fine art gallery from 6.30pm to 8.30pm on Wednesday, 10 March. The new fine art gallery is located in Governors Square.

Owned by Maurice and Nickola Snell, the gallery showcases a range of local fine art from artists including Randy Chollette, Gordon Solomon, Al Ebanks, Nasaria Suckoo Chollette.

“We are hoping for a good turnout,” said Mrs. Snell. We would like Arteccentrix to be a local arts Mecca with not only exhibitions but workshops and activities for children too.

“Cayman’s art scene may be relatively small but its vibrant and committed to growing and showing the public new and interesting ways of looking at the world. The gallery will be part of that drive to reflect and share our past, present and future,” she added.

The former McCoy Prize winner and member of Native Sons will continue to paint while running the business.

Refreshments will be served at the Grand Opening and those hoping to attend are asked to RSVP 927-2076.
