CDS treasure hunt
26 February 2010
|

Cayman Drama Society is holding its annual treasure hunt this Sunday, 28 February and pre-registration is at the Prospect Playhouse.

The twice-yearly fundraiser starts at 11am and the event costs $10 per person. Participants must have the use of a vehicle and can hunt individually, if a CDS, or as part of a team consisting at least one paid-up CDS member.

Those taking part must try to solve clues by travelling to specific locations, or by collecting items, according to a CDS release.

Besides the adult teams, there will be a team from the CDS Student Executive Committee consisting of high school students who will be looking to prove that they are winners.

The treasure hunt’s organisers are Ian Morgan and Paul de Freitas. Events usually are focussed around a specific area of Grand Cayman, and encourage teams to learn more about the island.

The last event was based in West Bay. Teams will not know where Sunday’s event is based until they sign up at Prospect Playhouse and receive their question sheets.

There will be prizes for the best overall score and many other one-off prizes. Food will be provided by Penny's Pantry back at the theatre from noon onwards. Children are welcome and teams can be any size.

Pre-registration starts at 10.30am at the theatre. The treasure hunt finishes at 2pm.
