Rotary Sunrise continues Valentine tradition
19 February 2010

Celebrating Valentine’s Day has become a tradition with the Rotary Sunrise club.

The club has 94 members of which 34 are ladies and at this time of year each woman is presented with a long-stem red rose in appreciation of the contribution they make to the club and its service in the community.

According to a Rotary Sunrise release, the roses are paid for by fines to the members for not wearing their badges or having their pictures in the newspapers.

The release went on to jokingly add that members were hoping this particular picture would pay dividends.

Rotary Sunrise is the newest club in Cayman. Chartered in 2002, the organisation is comprised mostly of young professionals from Cayman and 23 other countries worldwide.

The club meets at Grand Old House every Wednesday for breakfast at 7am.
