When the Chicago White Sox training
academy coaches came here for a weekend recently to instruct Cayman’s Little
Leaguers, they were really impressed with the facilities at the Field of
Dreams.
Head coach Michael Huff came to
Cayman for the first time and he said:
“The complex you all have put
together for the kids is on par with a major league spring training organisation.
“Very rarely do you see four fields
that are back to back with such a good condition of the turf, dugouts,
concession stand and cages.
“This helps teach the kids much
better. It’s an incredible complex and another reason why we love coming down
here.
“There’s also something about
coming down here in January which makes it very attractive to all the coaches
and myself!”
