Netball is making steps ahead on the local sports scene.

In addition to the national women’s league primary school action is currently ongoing.

The next round of games takes place at the netball courts at Truman Bodden Sports Complex today.

Group A of the Inter Primary netball league is in action from 1pm as John A Cumber battles Savannah, George Town takes on Prospect, Truth For Youth faces Triple C and Cayman Prep battles East End.

Those games serve as the final league matches before the knockout (playoff) stage gets under way in the coming weeks.

Based on the sentiments of league officials the two best teams have been George Town and Prospect. Both school teams have come across as complete, solid and balanced.

West Bay is another good team thanks to their endless athleticism. A slight lack of technical play is the only thing holding them back from being the elite squad in the group.

Aside from those clubs the only other side that has garnered buzz is Truth For Youth. Arguably the youngest team in the competition, Orvin Palacio has done well to get a win out of his girls.

Group B finished their league matches last Friday and set to being their playoffs shortly.
