Floating bar ludicrous
By: Sandra Webster
4 February 2010

I am writing to you in response to the article written by Natasha Kozaily in December.

My husband and I have been a resident of the Cayman Islands since 1997 and have seen many changes on the Island since that time. A floating bar at Stingray City is simply ludicrous.

The stingrays in their natural environment are a place for children and families to enjoy; not a place to drink liquor. Is Mr. Bernie Bush a relative of our Premier McKeeva Bush? It does appear a bit suspicious to grant a liquor licence only to find out afterward the location for the floating bar was to be at Stingray City.

I sincerely hope that those involved will reconsider and leave Stingray City as it is – one of Cayman’s best tourist attractions.
