Me in My Life women's retreat
By: Anna Wooton
25 November, 2009

A special day of pampering and motivation has been set for women at the second annual Me in My Life retreat, hosted by Catherine Tyson at the Westin Casuarina Resort on 5 December, 2009.

The purpose of the seminar is to give a rejuvenating treat to women in Grand Cayman.

'We spend so much time taking care of everyone else,' said Ms Tyson. 'This event will be a time for women to refill their spiritual and emotional tanks so they can understand the importance of self care and awareness as they continue to care for their loved ones.'

Speakers scheduled to make presentations during the main seminar sessions on Saturday, 5 December are Lorlett Hudson and Dr. Anita Davis DeFoe.

Ms Hudson is an innovative inventor, motivational speaker, improvement performance specialist and confidence coach. She is based in London, England.

Dr. DeFoe is a motivational speaker and the author of A Woman's Guide to Soulful Living, Seven Keys to Life and Work Success, Follow Her Lead and the novel Tropical Escapes. She teaches about being a woman of destiny. Among many other things, she is a magazine editor and a talk show host. Dr. DeFoe is based in Florida and the Virgin Islands.

Both speakers will make general presentations as well as chair roundtable discussions on a variety of issues relating to women, such as relationships, health and family. In the afternoon a panel discussion is also planned where women get to put men in the hot seat answering some oft-asked questions about why women and men are so different and if we are, in fact, from different planets after all.

Organiser Catherine Tyson is a trained counsellor in human services and facilitates and conducts various workshops and seminars in the areas of self development. Her journey of finding herself and empowerment is depicted in her first book entitled I'm Somebody's Mama.

The fee for the seminar is $100 to cover costs of the venue. For reservations or information, contact 924-3996 or email a_chikuruwo@yahoo.com.
